Last night I was robbed when I was having dinner alone at Sunway Tunas Taste Good Chinese Restaurant. Out of sudden my beg was grabbed by a guy with helmet. I shout and chased after the guy, but unfortunately, he managed to get rid off with his gang who is on motocycle. The pain after the robbery is really disaster. First, I lost all my belongings, cash, credit card, 2 hand phones, name card, a brand new Revlon lipstick, etc. Luckily I put my car key on the table, else I will be in deep deep shit. My home key is inside the car, so no big deal. Secondly, I had to spend couple hours lodge a police report at Balik Pulau Police Station. The story isn't end. I have to replace all the documents, and the expenses isn't cheap.
1. IC - RM30
2. Driving License - RM20
3. HSBC Credit card - RM50
4. Digi sim card - FOC
I kena samun sudah cukup kesian, government somemore saman me for those replacement. Really suck blood. Only DIGI replace the SIM card free for me. After this incident, I came out some precaution steps, perhaps helpful for you.
1. Try to sit inside the shop, and don't back face the entrance.
2. Keep your belongings separately. Don't bring unnecessary document, cards or excessive cash in your wallet.
3. Photocopy your IC and keep a few copies at home.
4. 5. If you are victim like me, remember below points.
a. Call your credit card bank and mobile phone service provider to terminate the service immediately. Make sure you keep the telephone numbers.
b. Bring a copy of photocopy IC and a color picture for driving license replacement. You may collect it immediately.
c. Bring a copy of photocopy IC and police report for IC replacement. You may collect the new IC after 3 weeks.
d. For DIGI Sim card replacement, bring a copy of photocopy IC. You may collect it immediately.
e. For credit card, just call them, they will post it to your home. BUT, the cost are most expensive, normally they will charge you RM50. So don't bring so many credit cards if you are not using them.
From lodge police report till document replacement, I met a lot of Victim like me, guess what, out of 4 persons I met, 2 incidents at Sunway Tunas, 1 at Bayan Point and 1 at Sg Ara. Sunway Tunas "win" with 50% !!!! Got to be careful when you hang around this area. I m thinking to move out from this area also. Really feel insecure to stay here anymore.
