2016 Nov - Cebu & Bohol

Day 1
Initially our flight is scheduled on 11.20am but it was delayed for more than 1 hour. Total duration is 4 hours from KLIA to Cebu International Airport.

It is adviceable to take Grab car for airport transfer. You can save a lot compare to airport limousine.

We stayed in Bayfront Hotel, opposite the hotel has a shopping mall.

We took a taxi to Colon. Colon is like pasar malam in Malaysia, you can get many street foods over there. There are a few colleges and universities around Colon, you can see many students along the street.

But stay alert with your belongings; I witnessed a snatch from a female passenger on “tuk-tuk”.

Day 2
We took 8am ferry to Tagbilaran. Please spare some time because you need to go through a few security procedures and check in your luggage in ferry. We bought round trip tickets. At ferry counter, you need to prepare all passengers details like full name and gender. Besides ferry ticket, you need to pay terminal fee and luggage fee as well. The ferry duration is about 2 hours time.

Several laws have been passed to protect and conserve the Philippine tarsier.
The Philippine tarsier measures only about 85 to 160 mm (3.35 to 6.30 in) in height, making it one of the smallest primates. The small size makes it difficult to spot. In the park, there are helpers to help you spot where the Tarsiers are.

Butterfly farm PHP45
The helpers are very skillful for photography.

Chocolate Hill – ATV rental  PHP900 for one hour, entrance fee PHP50
This is where the fun begins. The bumpy road really test out my skill on handle ATV.

Dinner at beach - plenty of Asian and Western food restaurants along the beach. San Miguel beer is as cheap as a can of Coke. Cheers...!

Check in Alona Kew Beach Hotel

"Antique" air cond is not functioning, at the end we gotta change to another room.

Day 3
According to local people, for dolphin watching, you gotta to depart as early as 5am. Too bad, due to mis-communication, we managed to in touch our boatman by 6am, and departed on 6.20am. Lunch at bee farm - you can have organic food at bee farm, while enjoying hill side view of scenery.

Hinagdanan Cave – PHP55
Hinagdanan Cave is made of limestone. The cave is about 100 metres long of beautiful rock formations. The cave is lit by sunlight which filters through holes in the ceiling. The underground lake is a popular swimming spot, but it has been known to test for high levels of various pollutants, since it is fed by ground runoff.

A huge display area with many cabinets filled up with various shell.

Due to Tropical Cyclone Warning, jetty was closed and all ferries were cancelled. We had to extend another day in Bohol. Save all these info, we managed to claim back hotel cancellation from Agoda with all these supporting documents.

Next day we got to know that cyclone was over, jetty was re-opened. We rushed to jetty to get out of Bohol head to Tagbilaran.

Day 4
As soon as we arrived Cebu jetty, we were kind of rush to catch up our schedule. First stop is basilica del santo niño and Magellan's Cross.

Museo Sugbo Museum – PHP75

Museo Sugbo is the Cebu Provincial Museum located in the former Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC), four blocks from Plaza Independencia.Museo Sugbo is housed in what was once called Cárcel de Cebú, the provincial jail of Cebu. This museum is really "rich" in terms of historical materials.

Temple of Leah , A tribute of LOVE– PHP50
Love made Temple of Leah possible as Teodorico Adarna, father of actress Ellen Adarna and owner of Queensland motels, offers the construction of the huge edifice to his wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna.
“This Temple was constructed in the year 2012 A.D as a symbol of my undying love for her and my ceaseless devotion to Leah Villa Albino-Adarna,” he noted on their FB page.
And because this was made out of love, it doesn't only welcome visitors with the spectacular view of the city but also with the warmth of the place.

Sky Edge Coaster – PHP55
One of must-try activitiy in Cebu. If you afraid of height, please don't try.
